After completion of the new vehicle painting shop, Volkswagen Poznan awarded assmann beraten + planen the contract for the construction of a new shop for the final assembly as well as an ancillary building with office space for approximately 300 employees and washing facilities for approximately 1,000 personnel. The planning provided for the assembly of the new transporter T5 and the new Caddy with an output of 450 vehicles per day. The design was begun in February 2001, construction was started in December 2001. The building was completed and handed over to VWP in June 2002.
