Objective of the project was the reorganization and change of usage for new purposes of the building including the art nouveau hall, considering the preservation of a historical monument, for the integration of the seminar areas of the institute for music of the Otto-von-Guericke University Magdeburg.

An adjustment of the new building was made for the lecture and office rooms of the institute .
